Windows API functions
I've been reading a little on Windows Managment Instrumentation (WMI) and it looks like something that would be extreemly useful. What I've read so far says that, even though it is standard on Win2000, there are versions for Win95/98.
I want to see what I can do on Win98 with VFP 6.0 but I read is for Win2000 and I can't find any reference to what is needed for implimentation on Win98. I even downloaded 17Megs of WMI SDK files that the MSDN WEB site said were for the 95/98 OS but when I tried to run them the error message said that I needed NT 4.0 SP4 or higher or Win2000.
I see in my Windows(98) system directory there are three WMI related files WMI.dll, WMIcore.dll, and WMIexe.exe but I can't fine any documentation on how to use these.
Does anybody have any experience with WMI on WIN98?
TIA
Ed
