The last form that had focus. The focus is set according to the Forms() collection of _screen which is dynamic as someone else told you. When one of the forms is released then the last form that had focus befroe gets focus back again.

It is possible to build a framework where none of this makes any difference as you would code the logic for which forms gets focus yourself.
