A syntax error when issuing a REPORT FORM is usually (always?) caused by a mistyped expression somewhere in your report. Unfortunately, if your report is large, there is no easy way to track it down except for search and destroy. Check field expressions, group expressions, report variables, and any other expressions you might have stuck in there.
