In the files section is EVIEW a great program for views. Get it.

Recreate the remote view the way you want it. Go to the EVIEW and pick the view you are dealing with. Create the source for that view.

Now run your process to see what is changing in the view? Is it data that your are manipulating on your side, probably? Maybe a character to a numeric or interger field?
