>> By the way Rick what's the status of the WWW Visual FoxExpress project Mike and you told us about in Vegas?
The folks at DesignMind have it finished, except for documentation. They can run a VFE app on their LAN and the
exact same app
stateless over the web. We've got a few issues to work out with documentation and some of their changes to the framework that they've made before we're ready to market it. I'll be meeting with them on 1/14 and will know a lot more about it after that. It uses Web Connection's DHTML rendering, so it's an IE only solution. You have to build the entire app using parameterized views to pull it off. Basically the way it works is when you're running on the web you have all of the business object's pooled in Web Connection and all of the users share these same business objects. Usually you just need one instance of each business object in the pool but you can have more than one for very heavily used business objects. As users work with the app the URLs pass a primary key to the business object and requery it so that operations can be stateless.
If you saw Jeff Kuehn's presentation in Vegas than you saw the beginings of this.
