Hi folks, Happy Holidays,
If you're having problems with someone deleting files then take advantage of NTFS permissions and prevent users from deleting them, just allow administrators that priveledge. NTFS permissions are confusing enough in 4 dot 0, wait till you implement W2k and encryption becomes a factor!!! My advise is to study the difference between share level permissions and user level permissions, of which are too complicated to put into a nut shell. If you really need to get down and dirty and go there I might suggest both NT Workstation and NT Server by Sybex. A little dry, but informative. I suggest them both, especially before you go to W2K.
Auditing would answer the Who, NTFS would delete the question!

>>I meant not 'the file that deleted already' but 'the file that will possibly be deleted'. The system is set,as of now, deleted files are not sent to trash bin, just deleted right away.
