Hiya David,

I would tell that "ex" customer to bite me. I hope everything works out OK down there.

>We're not tooo.. concerned here. Australia will be on the (b)leading edge since we're about 18 hours ahead of you guys.
>
>Amazingly, we had one *ex* customer faxed us on 23rd December - the Australian Pharmacy Guild - they said they were legally required to have compliance certificates for all their software and demanded that we provide them with one for software we produced (sub-contracted) in '94 in Access 2. The software was recently modified to make it Y2K compliant by another party, but they said that, since we wrote the original we should provide the certification. Ha ha ha... We could all be spending some time donating to the legal profession's coffers next year. :-(

>I also am personally aware of several significant businesses around here who have done NOTHING in preparation, yet Aust. is supposedly much better prepared than many countries. Yikes.
>
>My main thought, FWIW, is that there'll be plenty of new business opportunities arising as the unprepared sink into oblivian.
>
>Anyway you have a good one, John. I've always appreciated your most professional advice.
>
>BTW, by the time you tick over to 00:00:01 1/1/2000 I'll be getting over my hangover. :-)

>>Hi Folks,
>>
>>Well, if you're like me you are being inundated with last minute Y2K issues with old Fox code. Other people's code, of course :-)
>>
>>Anyway, it seems to me that if we survive 1/1/2000 and 2/29/2000 we're in good shape. I, for one, intend to unplug my phones on those two days.
>>
>>Seriously, is anyone on the UT really concerned about Y2K? I wasn't, but I'm starting to get that way.
