Lew,

I haven't tried it yet. I figure that, if the the problem is solved by going back to SP2, what other potential problems have become unleashed. SP3 had so many bug fixes, many of which dealt with C000005 crashes. There is probably a WIN API solution to what I am trying to do anyway which would be better than what I am doing now. Also I'm looking into using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) which is supposed to be available for Win98 except that I can't find the files nor the instructions except for the Win2K implimentation.

Let me know if you ever get a chance to use a SP2 machine to try my code sample on. It would be interesting to see if this is a new bug or not.
