>Thanks for the advice but I was not able to find the msdnvs98.col anywhere on my system. Along with the foxhelp.chm. That means that they weren't installed but I selecting everything to be installed? Did I miss a step. I only loaded Disk1 of the DevStudio cd set (it didn't ask for disk 2). And I was only given the option to customize where as I am used to seeing the options, Typical, Custom, Complete (or something like that, at the minimum, three choices) but I am only allowed to select Custom installation with this....

First, is this a mistake, or did you actually mean DevStudio? VFP6 is a part of Visual Studio, not DevStudio, which is where VFP5 came from.

FOXHELP.CHM should be present, but depending on how you installed, possibly not where you expected to find it. Do a File Find from Windows looking for FOXHELP.CHM, and then set the Help FIle entry from VFP - Tools/Options, the File Locations tab, the entry under Help Files. This needs to point to FOXHELP or the current .COL for MSDN, and the checkbox for Use Help File on the Modify Location dialog box must be checked. You want to set this as your default before exiting from VFP.
