This is just a WAG, but I think when you register VFP, MS puts a special cookie on that computer. So when you connect from a different computer... I have also experienced this. On this other computer, you might check your Cookies and Temporary Internet Files folders to see what is there, then register while monitoring those 2 folders for new cookies. If this is tru, this method of tracking VFP/VS registration sucks and is archaic. However, it may be their [ineffective] way to monitor or discourage license violations.
