OK... looks like I need to eat crow here a bit.. I thought I had all of the thread... Looks like I did not. I see the editing only extends to a memo field... Yes, an edit box is the way to go. And, it looks like they need something simple.

The comments should be persisted. This all really should be done prior to the print process.

OK Ed.. Looks like you did pretty good here....

When I am wrong, I am wrong....

Sorry....

However, I still think you discounted Ed Rauh's idea too much. I still do not think he was inferring to do ALL reports in Word...

>Yes, Ed, what you offered is/was a strategy. All advice given, to one extent or another, is a strategy. Lets not get caught up in semantics here...

>As for Ed Rauh's idea, YES, this is an ideal situation for Word. Ed Rauh DID NOT infer that all reports should be moved to Word.

>Why go through the hassle of building a UI, and the code that goes along with it, when you could simply use automation in this instance.

>Simply put, and edit box is Not and ideal UI element to do this sort of editing. How would you control page breaks, have page numbering etc....

>So Ed Pikman, yes, you offered a strategy, but not a very good one. And, you totally discount Ed Rauh's Automation strategy. This post of yours is the essense of my beef with you.
