With my machine really busy = locked the only stable platform I have is a NT machine with only 32 mb RAM my dev platform is running 98 but a a really twitchy gateway 350...rule of thumb is that whenever my machine hits about 75-80 resource usage...she locks up. When I cleared out the index it seemed to help...it seems in my sleep deprived state I had indexes on all of the fields and the primary index happened to be based on the feild I am changing.
