Maybe it was just a bad day at the old box. Maybe I
just missed something. Or maybe I'm going mad.
Anyway...
I created a container class with a command button
and a text box. In the click method of the command
button:
This.Parent.FileNameTxt.Value = PUTFILE()
Note: The function call had the appropriate and necessary parameters.
After I saved it, I tried dropping the container on a form
and running it. Click the command button and nothing,
except a brief flash on the screen. I ended up using the Common Dialogs control to get the file name, but what gives with PUTFILE()? Bug? "Feature"? And would the same thing happen with GETFILE()?
TIA,
George
