Dennis, people might be more inclined to help find a solution on your timetable for you if you hired them as consultants; I can't speak for John, but expecting him to drop everything and look into your problems isn't a realistic view of what his priorities are likely to be. When he gets back, if he rememebers, and if he can find it, he'll probably get around to letting you know - although most likely it'll have to wait until his clients (IOW, people willing to pay for his time and services) have been taken care of.

While we try to be helpful, if you need something done on your timetable, hire someone who knows what they're doing to work on your schedule. It's at best rude to bug someone who's trying to be helpful because they aren't meeting your requirements. If it were me, I'd have added a couple of weeks to ever bothering to look at it, if I remembered to look at it at all.
