I guess I need to be more careful about the category of the messages I respond to. I didn't notice that this was a VFE message.

But I really doubt that that changes the answer. If he was actually trying to insert a record with only a PK, yes, but I doubt this is the case. Finxing the default value for the PK might fix the error, but it will just begin inserting (nearly) empty records into the base tables.
