Doug,
>>>
>>>Oh, for cyring out loud.. You guys are being way too nice to each other. *g*
>>
>>What the &&%$^^!@ is it to ya, bud? That better< bg >? Hey, I've got my "Chicago side". I also have the restraint and good sense to know that's it's much more effective when use judiciously.:-)
>
>Exactamundo... (erhh.. That's a little spanish lingo there... *g*)
Now I gotta get John Koziol to translate that for me< g >. Is that anything like the Chicagoan "Presxactly"?
>
>>
>>>What about a "pre-print" squirt to the printer? Only thing there is you would most likely lose a piee of paper unless you could somehow figure out a way to send one character to the device, have it not eject the page but return a code (error or no) and if all's ok proceed.
>>
>>Not a bad idea, but I still don't think that it's practical from within VFP. Bill might be onto something, however. I've never messed with those functions and don't have a clue as to how well it'll work.
>>
>
>Probably not but the idea was to spark more ideas and perhaps a different way of approaching the issue, as Bill so eloquently pointed out.
The exchange of different viewpoints and/or approaches to a problem is
always good. The big trick is to keep an open mind, and the ego level low. To often, I find myself trying to build up my own solution simply because it's mine.
>>>Not too practical but perhaps it will spark your fertile mind. Kind of like a match and a far*. *bg* & *gr&rvvf*
>>
>>ROFL! And accurate too.:-)
>
>Heh heh.. I kind of figured you'd appreciate that bit of mental artwork. *g*
>
I think you left the "f" off that last word there, Doug< bg >.
