It works but why not create indexes before ie:in load and just change order in click. Then you could use table buffering too. It's more suitable for child grids IMHO. Also you should be carefull about any index you create should start with parent's linking field (ie: if cust_id is linker and want to sort on dates, your index expression could be something like : padl(cust_id,6)+dtoc(dtVisits,1) descending). OTOH indexing on just only those that attempted to be sorted would be faster.
