Yes, the Word will do through OLE Automation whatever you tell it to do.
You should get familiar with VBA too. One of the good ways to get the VBA code syntax samples which then could be used in VFP is to create a macro in Word (like select text, change font attributes etc) and then edit this macro and see the code.
