Yes copying the file is also time consumming, that's why I said there is no fast way to remove deleted records from a table. Copying the records is only a different way from PACK, they are both time consumming.

It would be better for you if you asked this question in a new thread. Post a new message with tis report question in it. That way other people who are not participating in this thread about Dataenvironments will see the new thread about reports and possibly have soem advice for you.

The way I handle the situation you describe is to create a cursor and load it with only the data that should print, then I run the report. If there is more, then I will ZAP the cursor and load with the next set of data and print.
