Hi Jeff,

>First, try using a parameterized view and see the difference.

You can, and be sure to tell me the actual mean in seconds.

>Set the parameter(s) and REQUERY() to fill a grid.

What does this have to do with using SEEK()?!

>As a result, many of us would be hard pressed to develop a C/S application should the opportunity presents itself.

Well, its a shame my throne isn't as high as yours. I just showed that a Seek() is faster than a SQL SELECT did I not? You said use a P-View which may or may not be faster, but do you want to predefine a veiw for every single application that would otherwise be a faster Seek() in the first place?

>Being well disciplined in SQL allows you to create C/S and non-C/S apps with VFP, but not both.

Huh? CS and nonCS but not both? I don't follow. DO you mean xBase will not do both? Lemme ask you this: Are you the type of person that uses & every where instead of Eval() or (), because & works in almost every solution that Eval() or the () could handle, but knowing the & makes development less of a thinking excersize for you? Thats what your sentence is saying to me.
