Title:
Negative Y2K After thoughts
Well, I was browsing the ZDNet website on this lovely January day, and I see something like "Y2K Bug is a Dud", and in addition to saying "Thanks for the info, I thought we all died <g>", I got rather disouraged. I think the Media's portrayal of the after math is even more embarassing then the build-up. My response included something like this:
"Let me get this straigt: something that is wrong, actually gets fixed right, and thats a bad thing (Dud)?"
Does anyone else feel like that? We get hashed on for, making the bug, work hard and spend lots of money to fix it, and since nothing happened, it was a hoax and we get hashed on for scaring folks and spending too much money. Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
Anyhoo, I thought the mock-Classified ad under feed back was pretty funny, in fact, I think I'll go buy a "slightly used" power generator sometime this week :-)
