Walter-

Just a point here, since you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about c/s apps--I have _no_ c/s applications in my background, and I wouldn't code an app the way you are advocating using SET FILTER, especially not for the reasons you've given.

Your posts are reminding me _very_ much of all the apps developed as single user because the client/developer were just _sure_ it would never be networked.

Even if somebody tells me the app will be single user, I develop it as multi-user. It is no harder, and every app goes networked, of course. Unless it's design impedes that.

Same thing with C/S. Right now your clients don't see any need for it, but I'd be amazed if they don't want to put it on an intranet in the next 12 months. You're way, they have to redevelop it and have lost all of their equity.
