Jim and Steve Sawyer wrote a book titled "Effective Techniques". You should also look at "Advanced OOP" by Markus Egger. Neither specifically addresses framework design, but both will give you ideas and suggestions that you should consider. Both are available at www.hentzenwerke.com.
