I haven't had a doggone good reason to use SET FILTER in an app since 2.5/2.6 days before views and when a Coordinated Browse was a heavy player in my bag of tricks.

Outsde of app development, SET FILTER is an old friend I still use often when tackling a new data munging task that needs a lot of caution to get it right. What better way to determine your SQL conditions with screwy data you inherit from another app than to set filters and check record counts.
