Thanks Rick. I completely believe you... so please don't take my requests for info as an indication of skepticism. I'm really just trying to screen for horror stories from folks who have used the MT DLL.

My situation at the moment: I have an ASP app that is working really well as the distribution technology for a knowledge engineering and management system. The current app is used for education in medical imaging but the framework is applicable for authoring/distributing highly interactive knowledge for any domain. The current app is actually using the VFP ODBC driver to access the knowledge base, and with as many as 25 concurrent users, has been working great. But the app is mostly reading the database and while there is some "scorekeeping" happening, there is virtually no transaction processing going on.

This site is a branch of a live dot-com startup that aspires to become the Yahoo of medical imaging. The medical center where I work (Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School) is helping to supply some of their educational content.

It's really the authoring technology behind the content that is most unique about this system. And guess what the authoring tool is developed in.

Every page you see was created with the authoring tool and is stored as a "knowledge object" in the knowledge base. Every page is dynamically generated from the knowledge base. This includes the "home" pages on the system. I call the technology "EDACTIC" (tm), which is an acronym for "Education Delivered And Composed Through Internet Communication" and is also short for "Electronic Didactic".
