Jim, This is, to me, the essential point. Quite frankly I doubt that any of us would be able to determine when an appilcation was ready to migrate from the desktop the the backend but my take is right along with your point - I'd better be thinking about it NOW!

For me this falls under the heading of "Continuing Education", something I doubt I'll ever get away from if I ever expect to stay fresh and current in my profession. It's the same for doctors and other professions as well. I'd get real worried if my plumber told me that since my house was small all I needed was hemp and molten lead to seal the plumbing together. *g*
