>>I don't really understand why did you post this speech. You know what, if you're already here, I want to tell you something. This whole thing bears not technical but religious character. Why? Just thinking about this: few adult persons with many years of Fox experience seriously discuss SEEK command. What technical merit can they take from this discussion? Sorry, but I, you, they, we etc. know these things (including p-view, SQL, etc. etc.) up and down. That's just preaching gospel, creating symbol of faith (10 commandments...), calling adherents, fighting infidels and banning heretics.

>Well, you asked. But while I'm here,
SET FILTER is the great Satan. The savior of codemonekey kind, Chris Date, has revealed all to me in a mystical dream...

>Can I hear an Amen from the congregation? Perhaps a jihad is in order. Fasting and prayer has long been a favorite of the religious martyr.

>I never said a thing about SEEK; OTOH, I believe that frequent reliance on SET FILTER may be an early sign of brain death accepted by many leading practitioners.

>I'm sure yoou'll feel religiously offended by this. Might I suggest following in the grand tradition of SouthEast Asian monks protesting the war in Vietnam with a can of gasoline and a match?
It's too stupid. You even did not read what I said. I can mention that I have never used SET FILTER for the last 4 years, hopefully you will be able to read it and will not perceive as something offensive.
