>A client after loading data for several hours had a power failure and his computer shutdown. He claims to have lost all his entered work. Is that possible with VFP 6.0 applications. It has been my understanding that after you tab to the next field that data is saved. Is that not correct? Is there some autosave feature that must be enabled?

Whether data is saved from field-to-field depends on buffering/tableupdate. If there is no buffering, then yes, it should be saved to disk. However...

I started a thread on this a while ago, when this occurred to one of my users. The user had some server tables opened EXCL, and they were small enough to fit on the local machine, so apparently local copies were made of the server tables and all the updates were done locally. Then a network/machine crash, and all data changes were lost.

Does this sound at all familiar?
