lcOrder contains either 'ASCEND' OR 'DESC'

Anyway, even if lcOrder is blank, the command would still be:
SET ORDER TO tempfilename (a valid command)

The question was:

Why did it work with macro expansion on the tempfile name until now, and now works with name expression but not macro expansion?
