I do think this thread has brought up a good point...special occassions like the turning of the year's odometer do not affect the necessity for basic debugging techniques such as checking expression that cause errors.

I'm sorry if it seems harsh, but you did come out of the blocks fairly aggressively. In any case, it was still a very useful thread, and hopefully the salient points won't be lost in any of our personalities.
