Actually, you could do a "fake link" that would appear disabled. Maybe like:

< u >Fake Link< /u >

It's not quite a nice as a normal disabled option (and would look better if the UT allowed me to underline it like a normal link), but it would work. Then maybe add a small note at the bottom of the message saying "* Links available only to PUTM" in really small letters.

It might be a little less obnoxious.
