I never said it was better or faster...did I??? I don't think I implied it. I was merely correlating how Set Deleted On is in reality, an internal filter on deleted records, and how this setting can effect the results of a popular VFP function Sys(3054).

I purposely stayed away from the whole which is better/faster argument you are making, figuring that somebody was going to come in and do it... Thank you for giving meeting my expectations...
