Peter,
If the user's doing regular (ie structured, consistently formatted) data entry and retrieval, then I use p-remote views.
If the user's doing ad-hoc queries with varialbe conditions and variable result columns, I use SPT
If I'm doing regular maintenance stuff on the backend (such as denormalizing for data warehousing etc) then I use stored procedures.
I guess the answer is D - all of the above.
