sorry. The code stops at the Insert... line. Obviously because of the macro.
I am beginning to admit that i'm going to have to step through every tedious value looking for the error. Unfortunately, there is no developer environment at the installation. I'm going to have to transfer 12-18 Mb of data to my machine to use the debug environment. (5 hours or more)

It might also be a good idea to code some kind of tracer right into the running code, so that future issues can be investigated by enabling the tracing code.

What i was hoping by posting the code was to find another routine to do the same job that might be easier to debug. (i know... "suck it up and deal")
