>When I first started thinking about web apps I immediately jumped into ASP never looking at FoxISAPI. After all this time, I have finally started to look at it. It seems to offer a good deal of control and I can see how you can develop a nice little VFP framework around it. Rick Strahl says it still scales better than ASP\COM\MTS and will continue to do so even with WIN2000. Whats your opinon?

I have only used FoxISAPI to the extent that I needed to to get a grasp for how it works. I use Web Connection almost exclusively (some ASP). As far as my opinion, I agree with whatever Rick says, because he is far more qualified to comment on this than I am, because he has put together larger sights than I have, and has had to deal with scalability on every level. I do think that the COM+ spec in Win2K will eventually offer more control in resource pooling and be better able to scale more comparably with Rick's hand-rolled pool, but I agree with him, it's not there yet.
