We have used this and it has worked well under your conditions with one exception. When we switched to NT the HP NT driver tended to eat the chr( 12 ). In our case our Header and footers were a fixed length so we just counted the lines in the detail band with a report variable added that value to our known number of lines in the headers and footers, subtracted that from the page length and then issued the correct amount of chr( 13 ) with a replicate(chr( 13),value needed).
I know I know thats a tuff work around but that worked in that one situation. Otherwise that code is still working for us here.
One other note. If you do get it going keep in mind that with this code if the printer gets jammed or runs out of paper you front side/ back side can get hosed.
If you want you can email me a copy of your report and enough data to print a couple of pages and I'll try it here.
