Oscar,
Are you starting numbering over for each employee? If so, then you can simply print a separate report for each employee, using Bill's method of printing to file to get the total number of pages. Unfortunately I don't have any way of getting the number of pages in each group if you group on employee and print all employees in a single report.
Sorry,
Barbara
>Thanks. But my problem persists, I cannot solve it with either of the suggestions. I will try to clarify:
>The report should look more or less so:
>
>-----------------start of report
>employee 1:
>item 1 100
>item 2 200
>..
>total 999 page 1 of 1 <<<<<<<<<<<<<
>------------------page break here
>employee 2:
>item 1 222
>item 2 333
>..
>item 20 8888
> page 1 of 2 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
>---------------page break, this employee has a lot of items!
>item 21 9999
>...
>total 1234 page 2 of 2 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
>---------------page break
>employee 3:
>....
>....
>--------------end of report
>
>The report us grouped by employee.
>The problem is that the "<<<<<<<" lines require knowledge of the total pages of each GROUP in advance. TOTAL must be present only in the LAST page of each
