>After the onsluaght of wimpering, crying, stamping of feet, holding breath until face turn blue, I'm pleased to see today's chatterbox a little less cluttered. I don't turn it off because I've known some of these people for a while now and living outside the US I like to hear what progammers are talking about. Hooowwwever, I don't like reading the crap of late. Seems to me, if someone wants to contribute, they can contribute regardless of how they see themselves in this arena, or any other venue. MVP is not a lordship or a title deserving of some special consideration nor is it a mark of class distinction. It doesn't even mean you know any more than anyone else about anything. Last I heard MS is not accredited by any board or organization. It is just a slap on the back from members of a fraternity. Try taking your MVP (if you had one) and get credits for it at a real school. That is why I wouldn't be able to care less if Michael put 300 MVP billboards all over UT even if I were
>bestowed with such an honor. I would, nontheless, use it as a self promotion tool as most MVP people do. Having said that, I would add one more thing, the same people who have been complaining about paying (using the excuse that it's not the paying that REALLY bothers them) were in fact blasting non-payers with character assasination, snide remarks, and all around name calling not long ago. Oh, well, can I get back to work now?

Hi Denis, Eric and Jess,
I tried to keep myself away from this kind of discussions but couldn't resist this time.

Denis,
Thanks for your kindness. Do not worry about MVP's. They'll still be here either as a PUTM or nonPUTM because community's warmness attracks them and they also learn (at least I'm speaking for myself while thinking reflecting many MVPs thoughts).

Eric,
MVPs are not lordships nor MVPs claim to know better than you or anyone else. It's a peer-to-peer contribution award only. They're all humans too. What they know or not is only critized by the community they're contributing. Being an MVP doesn't protect you from being corrected by anyone in the community. Believe it or not, I never critized someone as he/she was an MVP or not while he/she expressing ideas against me. There should be ideas confirming or offending in technical arena so all the community could beneift it somehow. This place and alike are living mostly because it's faster and at an acceptable accuracy than to search books, KB, inet. Yes, you cannot take your MVP status to a real school to get a credit. Funny I have nothing "certified" to get credits at a computing school :) If an MVP hits you, sees him/herself above you etc than it's his/her personal idiopathy and cannot be a reference for all MVPs (it sounds like saying all policemen are killers when a policeman kills somebody). Pls do not put all MVPs into the same basket from personal behaviours aspect and pls warn me if any one day you feel I see myself as a lord. It's not MVP status that makes a reply accurate or correct. Honestly I learned a lot from nonMVP replies.

Jess,
Accuracy of answers nor volume have nothing to do with protecting our status. I just answer to my best and I just answer for I want to help a peer. You can easily check my answers far before when I was an MVP or even know what an MVP is. If they lack in accuracy by then it's only for I knew less by then (and honestly I find some of answers posted when I wasn't an MVP much more better then now). As time passes I also learn and get lessons and it's unavoidable. I'd help and defend my point as far as I'm sure it's true otherwise know to stand corrected. This has nothing to do with MVP status. I did it much before I was an MVP.

Up to date, separating community relations (in fact has nothing to do with MVP status) apart, what I got as being an MVP is far less than what I lost from financial view point. I'm still financially not capable of paying for PUTM and someone (I don't know that gentleman/lady) paid for me w/o my awareness. I'm totally gratefull to him/her. But if that wasn't the case belive me I wouldn't complain about not having a free PUTM. And believe me, I wouldn't lower my existence on UT nor accuracy if I lose my status (provided Michel keeps the door open for nonPUTM).
Thanks
