You're right though. They are all pieces of the same puzzle IMO, so I enjoy all of it. Sometimes the solution to a problem in one domain leads you through others. By looking at it simply as a VFP problem, you can limit yourself I think, but looking at it as all one system like you stated leaves the possibilities wide open to how to find answers.
I have worked more with C++ these past two weeks than I have in years because I wanted to find this answer, and its paying off in other things unrelated to this that I am working on (like learning the VC++6 environment, it has a great text editor BTW, I wish they'd put it in VFP7). So its all good. *s*
As always, its nice chatting with you. I will post a followup in this thread if I find anything interesting about the printers.
