Is SPS a PRG or a VCX? If it's not a VCX, you do need to specify the extension.

It does run in VFP okay? The EXE does not give an error? I'm confused then because I think you are saying you've found the error at the NEWOBJECT line, but if it runs then we are looking in the wrong place?
