I have two separate questions pertaining to report grouping.

1. When using the report wizard, I get the following message:
“The DBC containing the selected table was previously opened non-exclusive and the field(s) you chose for sorting are not in an existing index tag …”.

The field that I am trying to group on is indexed as Upper(fieldname). I found that if I add an index without the Upper(), I don’t get this error. Is there a way to use a field that is indexed on Upper()?

2. I have another report (generated through the report wizard) that is grouped on a field that has a correct index. It is a simple index consisting of one field. There are no other groups or sorts. When the report prints, the same group will print in various parts of the report, each with several records. What could cause this behavior?
