The decision to renew or not should be based on anything other than the value received. Don't let other things influence wehre you spedn your hard earned money.

There are emotional parts and there logical parts of everything that happens. You will see some MVPs disappear and others won't. It has been my experience that for the most aprt, MVPs do what they do because they HAVE TO. It is part of who they are. I can say that for many MVPs they could never track enough work arising from their posts to even come close to 1/1000th of the time they invest. MVPs are pretty much junkies, the are Help junkies, they get their jollies helping others to learn about the product they know.

IMO, Michel could decide to charge MVPs more money than everyone else and they would still be here.

So, save your renewal decision until it is time to renew and then ask "What value am I getting?"
