How about something less drastic like;

SELECT Alias
REPORT FORM ...

when you run the form. Even more complete would be;

LOCAL lcAlias
lcAlias = ALIAS()
SELECT TheOneYourReportNeeds
REPORT FORM ...
IF NOT EMPTY( lcAlias )
   SELECT ( lcAlias )
ELSE
   SELECT 0
ENDIF
