I checked again it is zero.

I don't do that.

I reapplied SP3, then applied SP5 after this, and it doesn't fix.

What does the Server service do, and what is Server Storage, do you know? I have a 3Com ethernet card, hooked up to a cable modem, hooked up to, duh... Cable. Is this the problem that I'm not on a "real" network?

BTW, I'm sorry a privated you with that MSDE thing, I knew it was a terribly lame thing preventing me from starting it. I didn't have SP4+ for NT (Doh!). Its running fine now (Though I don't know how to use it, does it have its own interface to create and input data? Or do I have to do everything in a frontend to get it usuable (using SPT)? I've never used another Back-End before, can you tell? <g>)
