Activate is an event that fires code in your Activate() event-method. Show() will probably work, it is a Method() that will show the form.

There is a large difference between an Event and a Method. If you call an Event Excplictly, it does what ever code you have in it, nothing more. If you fire a method, it will preform its task (unless told otherwise with NODEFULAT, ect.) and any other code you give it.
