>I've got a problem with FoxPro 2.6b with the Divide By Zero patch (not the microsoft one). I had a client call and complain that on several of their new computers they had problems with the system locking when our FoxPro application is run. This is an intermittent problem that seems to happen more often on some pc's than others. Most of these computers are 400 Mhz or faster. On my development PC in our office I experience the same problem. Once every couple of days I will run foxpro (either from a shortcut on the desktop, from the quick launch bar, or from a batch program) and the system will just lock up.

There seems to be some kind of problem with FPW and memory fragmentation. If you start your FPW app up right away after the machine is booted, you will probably not have any problems. If you try to do it after several other applications have been started and then exitted, the lockup problem seems to occur, although randomly. I know of no absolute solution for this, other than to start your FPW app first thing after a bootup and never exit it. Just use the task bar to switch back and forth.
