Ricardo, I was getting out-of-memory errors in Access on Win 98. We installed NT on the same box and did not get the errors.
Looking at available memory I could see that Win 98 seemed to suck up just about all of the available memory for itself leaving only a little for the app. Since the Access app also leaked memory under Win 98 it would bomb quickly.
Under Win NT about half of the 64MB was left available and this did not go down as the Access app ran.
