Hi.....

OK, I went over the feedback. In summary, here is the concensus:

1. The color scheme, what is the word I am looking for....sucked...
2. Folks seem to like text instead of graphics
3. While somewhat appealing to have left/right frames, a concern over how it could be managed appears to be an issue.
4. You want user configurability

I tried some different colors, and in a limited manner, brought back a few graphics. For things like marked messages and the inbox, the graphics are kind of nice.

With respect to the left frame, here is my idea. Instead of viewing all sections at a time, use the dropdown list to go to the proper section, and then view the current messages for that section. I suppose a choice in the combo for all sections could done as well

With respect to number 4, while I think giving users control over how their space works, I would suggest that as a phase II type of thing. In other words, if the place could get spruced up with a new default scheme, and then, put in the user stuff.

Further, I am willing to donate programming time to get this off the ground...
