Just to follow up:

Unfortunately the Epson 800 ESC/P 2 does not offer color, and my client wants to use color and does not want to bother switching printers.

His problem does seem to go away if he re-boots once/day...he'd said a few days ago that he didn't want to have to do that (it takes too long. I suggested booting at the end of the day as he's walking out the door, but he has to click on one button to log into the network, and he's impatient w/that). Oh well. he's going to re-boot.. Thanks for your input.

>>I did look in the list of printers in W98, and "Epson Stylus 800 ESC/P 2" was listed there (no other "Espon Stylus 800" anything else)...are you saying that I should choose the Epson Stylus 600 printer driver because it IS more simple and generic?

Jill,
>I just checked original win98 list. Yes there is an "Epson 800 ESC/P 2" there, so use it. I thought you were looking at client's list and it might be registered on list for it's installed from diskettes that came with printer.
