I am having difficulty in using the default field value. When I use APPEND BLANK to a buffered table or view and place a value in a field and use tableupdate to save the changes, the default value is saved and not the value I sent.

I am using VFP 6.0 w/o SP3 (client choice).

What am I doing wrong?
